Magic box

This week Miss O'neil gave us the task of writing a poem about a magic box. This is my magic box poem and what I put into it.

Magic box

I will put into my box

A ball that goes into a basket

A console black as coal

The sound of laughter

I will put in the box

The undead gory as ever

A purple stuffed dinosaur crying with no friends

A country melting in a pot

I will put in the box

A unicorn magical and hungry

A tv show that lost its fame

The swish silk sari on a summer night

I will put in the box

A club losing its home

A lost boy from neverland

A poor sole tortured slowly

My box is fashioned by gold and silver

With a purple lid

A kiwis knee joint for a hinge

I shall play for the all blacks in my box

Stumbling around meeting new friends.  

Ocean maker

This is my narrative story on the short film Ocean maker. is is a cool small film with a different ending to normal films. We spent the first 20 minutes brain storming are ideas and thoughts on the charter and everything in the film. Then we stated to plan are story on a sheet and then we began writing.  I would really appreciate if you could give me some feedbacks on my writing and if I used enough descriptive words and punctuation.

Ever since  all the water disappeared wendy searched for parts to a machine she was making it was called the ocean maker many people didn't think she could do it but there were few that though that she could. searching for the part to her machine she thought she had located the part she heard that it was at a small farm  north of her home she flew there in her plane the junker.

When she found that farm she started to descend something shot at me i put up a flag of peace on the plane before I started my descent. suddenly my top left engine started to fail the plane started to turn right I pulled to the left I put the plane to auto pilot and looked out the binoculars and saw a man on a turret and machines guns loaded on another 15 men. I loaded the machine guns on each side of the plane turned it off autopilot and fired their guns sadly the plane got shot down and wendy sadly died in a crash.

Tool kit

Yesterday we went to the hornby primary tool kit it was a really cool experience and I thought it was really cool. Time table 2017

This is my timetable for the term I have followed it really well for the first couple of weeks and I am going to continue doing it for the rest of the term. Hope you enjoy

Children and young Adults book awards

Today we are class went to the Children and young adults book awards in the sr margarites theatre. It was really fun and cool and we got to see the finalist in the new zealand you adults book awards. They all were very interesting in there own way and it was really fun to hear them all speak about here books. it was really cool to here about how they got the idea for their books and that they sometimes struggle like everyone else. I think they were all amazing and they all had fantastic books and I can't wait to give some of them a try. hope you enjoyed.

 

Rugby tournament

on wednesday me and some of the year 7 and 8 boys went to a rugby tournament with weedons school it was really cool and enjoyable we came 2nd out of 6 teams. We went an 1 losing to rolleston A and beating clear view, burnham, templeton and rolleston B. I think we played very well as a team and I can't wait to play again. If you enjoy leave a comment

Practise

On wednesday the 26th of july me and 5 other year 7 and 8 boys went to weedons  school to meet and train for the upcoming rugby tournament next wednesday we  left  school with are principal mr Robestion. We got there early so we played around and got are boots on and stuff and walked to the field. And started I practise at prop and throw in the lineouts it was weird but I think I did alright throwing the ball in. But the team looked strong and i can't wait for the tournament.

Holiday recount

In the holidays I went to timezone with my two friends Isaac and Dom went to timezone hornby. First we span the wheel and we got 10 tickets, then we went to the basketball game were you have to shot the ball in the hoop its really cool But I only got 77 isaac got 131 and dom got 135. Next went to the games for smaller kids for some fun and I got 335 score and it was really fun and I enjoyed playing it. After that we wasted the rest of are money on some games to get some tickets. I scored 200 tickets on one game and 50 on another , the end we got 462 ticket and we got 462 tickets worth of warhead.

Interland

Hi guys here is a really cool game that my class were shown It called Interland . Its really cool and it shows you about how to keep your computer safe and other cool stuff. I Think it is really fun and helpful at the same time here.

Football zones

On wednesday 28th of june the yms year 5/6 7/8 soccer team went to zones. It was really cool and exciting we didn't do amazing we lost 4 of are 5 games but we had lots of fun. And are year 5/6 team got 3rd in there division, it was really cool to see them do so well and we ended the day  by taking a team photo here it is.If you enjoy leave a comment.

On tuesday the yms student council and sports ambassador went to nyld which stands for nationally young leaders day. It was really cool we saw speaker like Daniel flynn founder of thank you water and nomad. It was super cool because at thee end we got a performance form nomad. Hope you enjoy leave a comment.

Friday sport

last friday we had are first friday sport I play soccer for the yaldhurst united we beat the hornby high bobcats 3-0. It was a really cool game and I had alot of fun and the bobcats put up a good fight.

cross country

on monday we had cross country. It was a really hard rum 3 laps around the school field 2 laps around the yaldhurst domain and then another 2 laps around the school field. I finished

4 out of 5th it was alright but i was tired.

JAMIE DUFF came to visit

Today at yms JAMIE DUFF came to visit. If you don't know who he is he is a famous nz sprint car driver. He won the world sprint car championship that means he is the first south islander to win the cup since 1985.  HIS car goes into corners at 100 km that insane. cyber smart speech

On wednesday Some of the year 6 7 and 8s went to hornby high school to listen to man talk about how to be cybersmart and how you are one of a kind it was really amazing and it showed us how to be cybersmart and to things like ask permashine  to take a photo of someone. sadly we forgot to take photos so sorry about that. Swimming sports

Last week we had swimming sports. Its so fun I love racing my friends and classmates. Every year we have a house relay between all the houses this year i competed for my house hillary and we won it  was so amazing I hope if you do swimming sports you have as much fun as I did.
