The last two weeks our reading group was reading a story from WWI called 'Das Piano' which means 'The Piano'. It is a German title. We were learning to describe a character from an alternative point of view and understand how people and communities behaved in times of conflict.
I had the pleasure of reading this story with you one day Zach and I thought you and the others in your group had some wonderful insights about how being filled with hatred is not a good way to be. Plus as you grow older you will find life is not as simple and good and bad. There are lots of grey areas.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree that smashing the piano was no way to behave in front of children or anyone else for that matter.
